Wanted to share my results with the Dominion Arms D800 powder from Canada Ammo.
Conditions
Sunny - 17C 26% humidity
Slight Breeze to my back
Firearm - STI Spartin 5"
Projectiles: Campro 230 grain FCP RN
Primer: Large Pistol - Dominion Arms
AOL: 1.225"
Brass: Mixed
Used the information from Hodgdon website less 10%
Results: Did 16 rounds of each of the following
5.7 gr
Average: 778 fps
Standard Deviation: 17
Power Factor: 178
5.9 gr
Average: 794 fps
Standard Deviation: 16
Power Factor: 182
6.1 gr
Average: 815 fps
Standard Deviation: 15
Power Factor: 187
6.3 gr
Average: 824 fps
Standard Deviation: 14
Power Factor: 189
Comments
The power is warm! Recoil on the 6.3gr was a little on the hard side, my standard load is 5.1gn N320 @ 835 fps, and it feels 'softer'.
As far as accuracy, i wasn't concentrating on grouping, just wanted to make sure the bullet path through the chronograph was consistent. I would expect it is more accurate than my abilities - lol
