Hey everyone,...OK I know this shotgun doesn't exactly have a good reputation but picked one up hoping I got a "good one".....It only has 1 box of shells through it so it still needs to be broken in...I will hopefully be shooting it tommorow. Please no bashing as I'm already worried enough whether I did get one that functions well or not...My questions are for CGNers who own one...How is your Cougar holding up long term??...What kind of ammo have you found cycles the best??...What if anything have you done to make it cycle better??......Cheers Wes. I got a pretty good deal on it and just bought it for cheap fun.....

###y, how are yopu managing to keep the +2 round mag tube from spinning off, as their is no dedent or retainer of any kind?

I haven't shot it so I haven't experienced that yet....I did read that can happen and actually checked out one of your ads and saw you sell a barrel clamp with an accessory rail...I was planning on buying it if needed....It's funny I have been shopping for accessories already and haven't even test fired it yet to make sure there are no problems with it...The +2 tube isn't even in use(for now)....It's currently just on for looks....I like that the shotgun came with it...It looks much better with it on!!

Took the Cougar out today to test out....Overall I'm happy with it...I put 50 shells through it. I started out with 2 3/4 #7.5 target shells...It didn't cycle...Then 2 3/4 #5 target...It wouldn't cycle...Next I tried 2 3/4 #6 heavy field...It cycled!!....Then I loaded up some 3inch #4 and that cycled fine as well...Next I tried 2 3/4 00 Buck...No problem!!...Then 2 3/4 rifled slugs...Again no problems....I loaded the mag tube full every time and there were no feeding problems except when using target shells....Then I put the rest of the 2 3/4 #6 heavy field I had left....Ate it up with no FTFs or FTEs....Tonight I will clean and inspect it.....As with many semiautos it didn't like light target loads...but I expected that...Overall it performed well....Oh and yeah the mag tube extension did spin loose as I shot and I had to tighten it a couple times...So Badboybeeson...I will be ordering a bbl clamp from you sometime in the near future.....and maybe some other accessories for it!!

Cougar is all clean and I inspected everything and all looks good.....Now it's accessory time!!!

best thing to do it loc-tite the end cap
and mag nut , just make sure its really tight and you may not need a mag clamp
Unless you want to put a flashlight on the gun , then our MOD-c mag clamp/ light holder would be perfect
