I am trying to open my mind to semi shotguns and got this gun to give a try. These are my first rounds out of this cool little clone of a Remington 1100. I'd imagine a lot of folks here have one. What are your thoughts? This one failed to lock back the action 2-3 times on the last shell.

I need need further testing with the locking back of the bolt. Light shells and cold? Something else????

Enjoy the video.

Anyone got one out there?

There's an older YouTube video on the dominion arms cougar and it had some jamming issues and now they aren't being imported anymore ... Maybe a design issue?

This one works good. I know the guy with the video and he thinks it can be easily fixed by adjusting the feedramp ever so slightly. A few hundred more shells and I will know more.

Actually, that looks like a decent set up for an all around shotgun - I can't figure out why Remington won't sell us unwashed civvies an 18 1/2 inch semi auto with decent sights.

You can legally chop ANY real 1100 to 18.5" and add ghost ring sights, I don't see why this is a barrier. Used 1100's are cheap and plentiful enough.

It is kind of cool and really fun to shoot with so little recoil.

Yeah you can finds some 1100's for 400-500 dollars with lots of life in them. The cougar will take 3 inch shells but I can't see why a person can take an old 1100 and update it for some fun shooting.

There is a shell lifter that you can install, replaces the button, to make them load better but t one purpose of this gun is to get better loading with the button.

Actually they aren't at all common on the wet coast, semi autos as a species are pretty rare here. Maybe because we all spend too much on homes? I'll have to start seriously looking.

I guess I had to wait a few months to get one on the shotgun trade forum. I'm sure one will pop up as a lot of guys are looking for cash with oil so low. Good luck.
