1st impression,Ill give it an 8 out of 10.I picked up the fixed stock 15" barrel version.Overall weight and handiness is good,A nice solid chunk,I like the fact that it doesnt have made in China on it and Dominion Arms sounds Canadian at least.Love the mag easy to operate and load. What I dont like is the staying open on an empty mag feature,So no throwing a shell into the open breach,I have tried several 870 fittings and parts and so far no luck.I did manage to fit a barrel in it but she was tight. If your planning to buy 870 accesories be prepared for some Dremmel work.In short it looks and acts like an 870 but its not.I still love the 870 its reliable but these have potential.Make sure you dont baby the action as the last casing will stick in the breach.Gonna take it out on the weekend and put it through the tests I will let you know how it does.Fellow owners please let us know your overall impression about these. So far I like it a lot,I go through guns like some guys go through underware, but this one has me excited.Dave.

I too have a 15" version and would also give it an 8 out of 10 score now but may slip that down a knotch of two if the spare mags don't show up...
I had no problems fitting a 870 pistol gripped full stock to mine.
The gun is well built, the mags insert, feed and eject excellent ( of the two I have anyway) but more capacity would be even better.
The only cheesy things on the whole platform IMO was the plastic heatshield (removes easily) and the rear sight (The ghost ring is nice though on the 18").
Things I'd like to replace/mod is the rear sight and the mag release ( maybe a bit bigger and more rounded/ less sharp).
Over all it rocks, especially for the price, unless a three gun is in your imediate plans.

Yeah I thought I was getting soft hands but I have noticed the edges on the metal need rounding off a bit,Im going to replace the flimsy heat shield and was thinking of drilling out the front sight tapping it and using an AR15 or SKS one.

I am considering getting a shotgun. I really like the Grizzly 18.5" magazine fed model that Canada Ammo has on its site. Any opinions on this gun? I am wondering if the stock is going to hurt my shoulder since it seems so thin. Having never fired a shotgun before, I am a little leary about the amount of recoil. The guys at my local gun store said that the shells for trap type shooting don't have a terrible kick in the 2 3/4" I will not be using it for trap though as I want it for 2 gun competitions. Don't want a sore shoulder.

YES the 18.5" folding stock will hurt a bit.

It is very hard, I was going to get a slip on pad but never got around to it.

There are so many stock options for the 870 you should have zero trouble finding a new stock for it if you find the folder a bit much.

After modifying the mags and chamfering the bottom of the chamber a little I would load 3 mags with 6-3" slugs, one in the pipe, and run though never had a problem feeding extracting or firing.

Good buy, you wont be disappointed.

Do you think there are slip om pads available that will fit a stock like that? I like the looks of the gun but I do have to consider my shoulder.

I don't find the recoil too bad with the folding stock... that being said i'm a pretty big guy and fire some fairly high-recoil guns.

I'll usually fire 30-50 rounds (birdshot and slugs) when i take it to the range and my shoulder is a bit tender afterward...

A word of warning: be careful where you put your face! When firing slugs if i rest my cheek too far forward on the stock the square piece toward the front will clip my cheekbone... that tends to hurt after a couple times.

My Mag-fed has a 2 3/4" chamber, did you swap barrels to a 3" chambered one?
Or are you using a 3" shell in a 2 3/4" chamber?

All the grizzly mag came with 3" chambers.

Can-am had them all stamped 2 3/4" because of the feeding issues from the mag with the longer shells.

This was stated by Can-am and confirmed in the big long grizzly thread, and I nor any other has had problem shooting 3" shells.

Hi All, I am looking for a new camp gun and was looking at a "Dominion Arms Grizzly 12 1/2" barrel 4 + 1 pump with the ghost sight. No one has posted any picts. yet. Does the Grizzly mag have the clip or tube ???

There are a TON of pics around if you search the threads.

Check can-am web site, he has 12" tube fed with ghost ring or bead sight.

15" MAG fed with rifle sights

and the 18" MAG fed with ghost ring and a folding stock.
