I finally had some time this long weekend to finish off the new paint job.
Decided to try the full DIY route where I purchased, blueing/rust stripper, parkerizing solution, and the Tactical Green Duracoat from Fabsport.
Before.....
After......
With its older sibling......
Note - Top (Remington Express) sports OD Duracoat, Hogue short stock & tactical forend, Wilson 2 round extension, Trijicon Ghost Ring sights, 18" barrel and a picatinny rail.
Bottom (Grizzly) sports the Tactical Green, Speedfeed 1 factory length stock & sporting forend. Both colours were sprayed straight from the bottles - note absence of any flash on lower shotgun surfaces.
The 12.5" barrel is short compared to a stock 18" version....
Here a close up of the trigger group showing the contrast between the Tactical Green and HK Black. Note - due to my flash the darker green is representative of the true colour compared to the lighter green when shown with its sibling.
Stripping, parkerizing, and painting were pretty straight forward.... turned out pretty good (as I pat myself on the back).
