The slot is slightly smaller than a cartridge. The cartridges do not fit through the slot.



They are internally limited to 5 rounds and the follower cannot be removed.

I thought that when you loaded them past 5 rounds, the 5th round popped/wedged into the slot and prevented more rounds from being inserted into the magazine.
I could be wrong.

Yes, when you try to load more then 5 rounds, the one at the bottom will get wedged in the slot, but wont pop out completely, it needs too be pushed back into the mag.

Anyone have any idea how/why that is? They are made in China, and guns from China are not allowed in the U.S.

Does the ATF just not realize they are not Canadian made?

The grizzly being an 870 clone may have been considered a sporting arm and thus let in. I've seen plenty of chinese guns on the shelf in the USA, just nothing remotely resembling military firearms.

Can you buy a 14.5 DA AR and just buy a spare 10.5 barrel and just interchanged them when you want... JP.

Better to buy (or build) a complete upper. Barrel changing can be done, but the system isn't designed to be a 'switch barrel' system the way that BR guns can be.

Is the barrel painted? Looks like it where you've removed the front site?
I thought the steel was parkerized and the aluminum was anodized on these?

The barrel is parkerized, but was painted after the front sight was installed.
