I must say, the fit and finish is acutally pretty decent for a Norc, and it felt very nice and compact once you put it up to the shoulder. I honestly never liked the look of it and thought it's hella ugly but it looks pretty good in person! SOOOOO tempted now.

damn, that actually looks really good... this may be the turning point for myself. Good call on posting a pic!

I think the 10-round mag makes it look a lot better than with a 30-round mag. I'm hoping that the front sight can be removed or swapped out with a folding one (3rd party maybe?) cuz that's the only eye sore for me on this rifle.

Overall I was impressed. Not a Tavor for sure (the plastic on the Tar-21 feels much nicer and solid) but for 1/3 the price you can't go wrong.

Hmmm... pre-order or wait for early adopter reviews......

Oh that looks sweet...

Looks like the counter at at another dealer I know.

handled it for a few minutes at at another dealer today, looks like a well made unit, however the location of the mag release is a bit awkward.

Release looks like it might be from an AR. An ambi release may make for a good thumb release.

I stopped into another dealer today as well. I got excited when I saw it had a rail on top (that they mounted a Burris Fastfire on). However, they told me it was for their demo model only. You'll have to get a rail on yourself. As for the rest of the gun, I liked how it shouldered and it was quite light. I did not like the position of the mag release (right side).

whats with the code? It's at another dealer isn't it? I went to yet another dealer to see it Saturday and they said it was there. I just want to know where to go next. I'm gonna look at it elsewhere but buy from Canam. No shame in that.

Sorry for being lazy here folks but ive been on here for hours looking for a 2010 RCMP document on reclassification (and failed to find it) so I can't be bothered reading this entire threat to find out

IF C.A. IS IMPORTING THIS NR VERSION OF THE TYPE97

Is Chris getting this in?

I'd understand him not.....what with the entire trouble he went through with the 1st Type97s.

My birthday is coming....and my wife's denial power is weak...oh so weak....this birthday time of year

Bump...

This is too big an event for the thread to be allowed to sink to the bottom!

(hopefully CanAm will post some updates if/when they get more info from the manufacturer)
