Dominion Arms

I was looking at backpacking shotguns on Canada Ammo and the one from Dominion Arms caught my eye. After a quick Google I couldn't find any information on the company and a search of this site found a few reviews and info that appears it's a Chinese company. I thought Norinco handles all firearms exports, is Dominion Arms actually Norinco?

I thought it was made up by canada ammo. Ie Dominion arms as in the Dominion of Canada.

I'm fairly certain that CanAm mentioned in another thread that the Chinese shotgun factory they deal with is the only one with its own export license, and therefore aren't required to export under the Norinco name.

Aside from the barrel length, mag tube cap, a few markings, a swivel and the forend, my Norinco HP-9 and DA Grizzly are exactly the same. Finish and all. Only difference was my Grizzly didn't work properly when I got it.

The backpacker is a short barreled JW-87 which is a norinco gun.
It is stamped

JW-87 13" BARREL
MADE IN CHINA NON-RESTRICTED
