Dominion Grizzly 8.5" AR stock

OAL does not equal barrel length plus stock length...

How can overall length not include the 7"~8" of reciever...?

And by this pic I'd say the barrel/reciever is 16" long, making that 9.75" AR stock he wants possibly legal (butt-plate cushion?)...

16" + 9.75" = 25.75"

*OAL on the factory gun is 27 1/8"...

Duhhhh I forgot to add the reciever pin the stock half way out and your good to go

I think a few people misunderstood my question which might be my fault. I already know that I would have to pin the stock to make it at or greater than 660mm. What I am asking is if the stock is removable as it is and the pistol grip can remain is that prohibited? Basically, the stock can be unscrewed and the pistol grip remains as an option, does this option make it prohibited? I've had all the Knoxx stocks and I want to try something new, the Knoxx don't feel right in my hand and recoil has never bothered me.

The stock is just an ebay one. Anyway someone must have an answer to my question? If the stock can unscrew on a shotgun and that would make the OAL less than 26" is that okay? Basically, then you have X amount of days to inform the CFC of any changes law it would fall under?

If your hypothetical situation indeed made it illegal then all piston AR's with the same style stock would have to be classified as Pistols as they can function with the stock tube removed and only a pistol grip!

Any legal gun owner can take a hacksaw to a legal shotgun at any given time, and in 30 seconds have themselves a prohibited gun!

Another example is a prohib gun like a G19 or G26, that has now been made restricted with an extended barrel. You could simply swap the barrel out, and voila you are now holding a prohibited gun! Regardless they are still classified restricted by the RCMP even though it would take only seconds to swap it back to a prohib.

If what ifs were allowed to be used to make things illegal we would all be f**ked beyond all hope! This is slowly happening but not on the scale your question would imply.

You are overanalyzing things, and doing the RCMP's job for them!

Relax and go shooting! AR style stock and all!
