Got my D4895 yesterday. Now if only my barrel would show up!

Any thoughts as to 4831?

Best powder I have ever burned in my 45-70.
Shot to shot consistency was unreal. Seems as good as good as h4198 for temperature insensitivity.
And if you do bring back d800 I would be picking that up too.

Yes about 1/2 to 2/3 the grain length

I was torn between the two! I will have to check it out next round.

I have been comparing the D4895 to Varget in several 308 Winchesters. Identical charge weights of either powder yield nearly identical velocity and in most cases similar accuracy. The D4895 is a longer stick but is every bit as good, if not better in most of my loads.

I recieved 10 lbs on the d4895 last week. Excited to start some load development with it.
Glad to hear your experience of it being similar to varget
Hoping to replace all my powders in the 3031 to varget burn rate with this stuff
