Dominion primers dirty ???

I tried my first batch of reloads with Dominion primers, I load .38sp. with 2.5gr. of WST and 158gr. wad cutter, with federal primers. So I tried the same load with Dominion primers, I'm happy my PPC revolver sets these off.
I shot 50 rounds and found my gun and hands black with more soot then the rounds loaded with the federal primers ?
Has anybody else found this? Or is it my imagination?

Dominion!

Unless I disremember badly, dominion primers are collectors items, I believe production ceased in the 1970s! This could be one explanation for your results.

I believe he's probably referring to CanAM's house brand, not the old Dominion.

Yes these are new Dominion primers from Russia.

I've only fired 300 or so, but I didn't notice them being any more dirty.

Concur, I've been through 500, no more dirty than Fed or CCI far as I can tell.
