Yes. Me as well. I've heard the small rifle will work for pistol, but wasn't going to take the chance on 5000 of them. I haven't had luck with it in the past.

They won't work with anything striker fired.

On what models have you tested it?
I better tell my Glock 17 which has eaten thousands of these primers with no more difficulty than CCI small pistol.

Sig P320 makes them go bang. Small rifle and small pistol with no difference.
Canada ammo mentioned last year that you can use the small rifle primers for small pistol primers. I believe they confirmed that with the manufacturer.
My M&P works just fine with them.

I have found that the rifle primers are harder than the pistol ones.
I've used both S&B and Dominion Small Rifle Primers on 9mm reloads, and after a few test loads (100 rounds of each) I found that some guns have no problems with them while others would only shoot some of them. My Beretta 92A1 had no problems with either of them. However, my M&P would only shoot about 1/3 of them. My P226 shot about 2/3 of them and my PPQ shot about 1/2.
Stick with the SPP.
