First off I am very impressed with the value of the Dominion Grizzly shotgun, but I knew it could be made to better suit my preferences.

I didn't like the feel of the actual trigger or the way that it resets differently from a Remington, which caused failure to reset properly sometime (this is due to the dimensions of the trigger connector).

So I decided to send my trigger group and barrel off to Arwen Ace for some work. I asked him to put Remington sights on the barrel and replace all the trigger internals with Remington parts. While I was waiting for their return I put on a used set of wooden furniture whici I will likely swap back and forth between the plastic as I feel, I like the feel of the factory synthetic stocks better than any other I have used.

I got the return package in the mail and am SO HAPPY with the product! AA he always answered my inquiries immediately and was a true gent to deal with. He was more than generous and when I got the bill it was much lower than I expected.

Here are some photos of the barrel, he parkerized it (thanks again!) and it matches the rest of the gun. Sights are properly aligned and the trigger reset now functions perfectly all the time.

I can get back to torture testing now!

Ah so, I stand corrected thanks :)

Just so nobody thinks I was dissatisfied with the Dominion as it came out of the box...there was nothing wrong with the the gun to start.
I am very impressed with the shotgun and would buy another one in a flash. The Remington sights go on all my 870 shotguns (even my 8.5" Dlask) and the trigger is a matter of preference, I am used to the 870 trigger after thousands and thousands of rounds and wanting the same feel and function on all of my guns.
Cheers

Tell us more about those Remington sights please. They look real good.

DF:D

They're the standard Remington open sights that you would get on any of their sight equipped shotguns. If you have a bead sighted barrel these can be attached by a gunsmith. Arwen Ace silver soldered/brazed them on and then refinished the barrel.

I prefer them to the ghost ring sights; I like the sight picture better and the sights are all located on the barrel so it is more convenient to interchange barrels. And they're cheaper too.
Cheers
