I've only used Winchester and CCI primers for small pistol, and have had no complaints, but I'd like to buy a Canadian product if I get the chance.

Has anyone here used these? (and if so, how are they)

I've used about 15,000 of them between Small Pistol and Small Rifle and had no issues. Appreciate the Canadian sentiment but these are made in Russia.

At the new prices there's no reason to buy Dominion primers. I bought Fiocchi for $2 less and CCI can be had for the same price.

Plus shipping on that. Just bought 5 boxes of dominion and shipping is free.

Not trying to convince you to use something else just answering your question as to where they are $40. As I stated in my first response I've used around 15,000 of them and would have no issue using more. Given the current pricing though I'll likely use S&B as I can get them cheaper and I like the way they seat better than the Dominion on my SDB.

Wholesale Sports is $45 per thousand - no shipping if you pick up. Their stock isn't great at the moment.

A penny a primer is not worth saving if the ammo you produce isn't universally compatible (in different striker fired pistols for example).

4.13$ per 100 at x-reload. You'll need to pay for shipping but then you can choose how many you want, and mix large/small pistol/rifle primers.

Shipping cost is very reasonnable if you order a large quantity, and totally meaningless if you order any other large item. BC residents will also save provincial taxes, so it'll end up cheaper than dominion.

For bulk purchases, Canada Ammo is cheaper because of the free shipping. Prices for shipping the Fiocchi and CCI were expensive compared to Canada Ammos free shipping.

As for which one is "better", well I ran 10,000 dominion without one issue and friends have used more than that without issue. It all comes down to price if the quality is on-par.
The Western Metal Fiocchi primers are the same price, but shipping was hundreds of dollars for the order I was placing. Same goes for Tenda, the shipping cost was hundreds more, so yeah.. easy answer.

I don't like the price bump on the primers as much as anyone else, but if someone points out cheaper primers of the same quality, i'm all ears.

Western metal (Fiocchi) has free shipping for orders 300$+. Canada Ammo (dominion) is free shipping for 200$+. Not much of a difference here, especially if the word "bulk" is thrown around.

At x-reload (CCI) shipping on primers will be around 11$ for just about any amount. For BC residents, the saving on taxes compared to canada ammo (9%), easily pays for the shipping and more. Only one of the 3 offering all kind of primers (no magnum anywhere except x-reload).

If you buy bulk, you'll pay roughly the same no matter which you choose, after taxes and shipping. If you want small quantity, x-reload is definitely your best bet. If you're buying something else to cut on shipping charges, then it really depends the price, weight and volume of the other stuff.

I Bought 10 boxes of Fiocchi at Western Metal and shipping was free too BUT the point being that at $39.99 Dominion primers are no longer a deal.

^^True.

Another thing is that these primers are 40$ only because canam had to get them shipped by plane instead of by boat. Future shipment, if they come by boat again, might very well cost less than 40$. So stocking up 10 years of supply might not be the best idea imho.
