Did you guys catch Don Cherry in his anti-hunting rant last night on coaches corner? Never thought I'd hear it from him, of all people...

I believe he used the words "I hate killing things like that" and "How can anybody kill anything, I don't understand that".

Great work Don. Congratulations on becoming a vegan. A perfect display of your complete ignorance of anything outside of hockey. I wonder if maybe Canadians were hunting looooong before they started pushing rocks around on frozen ponds with crooked sticks? If there is every anyone who I expected to stand up for a seriously and continually eroded component of Canadian heritage it would be Don Cherry. Guess not. Won't be shocked if you move to Sweden and start condoning visors... I'm sure that the Governor General will be happy to take your place on Coaches Corner...

I think i might have bought my last Rock-em-sock-em dvd. Cherry is opinonated and i don't allways agree with him. I geuss Cherry dosent eat meat? You can hunt in the woods or at safeway, gun or check book , you are still killing animals, i would always choose to hunt in the woods!

It was obvious this guy is an idiot and he appealed for his opinionated views and was tolerated only because of this.

Now, I will not watch DC again not even for a minute ... just too stupid to stomach any longer.
 
While no one disputes his 'idiotness', I think he was refering to the African Trophy hunting that the Detriot coach does, so while he said that he couldn't understand why anyone would kill anything, I think he was just not conveying his message properly.... No one has ever said he was articulate.

But I agree, his mouth does two things: says stupid things and drinks too much... and no matter which order it is in, its always the wrong one.
