Don CHerry is an ANTI???? Say it ain't so!

WOW!

At one time I watched Don and took what he said with a grain of salt. Then he started getting worse and I laughed at his commentary most of the time.
He has his opinion about Hockey but it is just his opinion not the gospel.

I saw his comments about hunting and thought it was an "uneducated viewpoint" (not unusual for Don). I sure would not label it ANTI-HUNTING.

What surprizes me the most is the number of radical, intolerant, narrow minded, posters on this thread.

Anti's are entitled to their views...

Myself, I grew up on the farm...killing and butchering animals was something I saw from the time I was old enough to walk. We butchered 2 beef and 3 hogs every year.

Now I agree...for someone growing up in the city, shopping at Safeway and seeing all the tasty meat on the shelves and gobbling it up and then making reference to how hunting(killing) animals is cruel is a little stupid.

I think what Don was trying to say is he has NO stomach for killing a Bear or other animal....lots of people feel that way but are not out to put an end to hunting.

I don't think he is out to put an end to hunting...just not his cup of tea.

Egomaniacs are so boring, but then I hadn't seen his face since about 1978 so I guess it doesn't matter. :D

He fixes on the camera like he's afraid it won't come back if it ever pans away from him. :rolleyes:
 
Cherry is OK in my books, you don't have to like every facet of a man in order to like him.

I doubt very much that we here would agree entirely with one another on every single topic.

It's OK to have differing opinions, gives us who are right some thing to do changing other peoples minds.;)

As long as he's not actively campainging to stop hunting I have no problem with him not likeing it.

My Canada would be better off with a couple million people with attitudes like Don Cherry's than the attitudes of the filth and degenerates living in the 416........
 
No matter what most think of him, there aren't many in the country who think more of our troops. You hear the emotion in his voice as he went offair last night talking about the latest casulty.
 
I'm just pissed that he gets paid to spread his uninformed opinion and we have to pay to share facts!! :mad: Become a vegetarian or admit to hypocrisy- its a simple choice and its yours to make Don.

Exactly! Cherry is ok in my books on most issues, but the problem is that when he goes off on a rant like this the thousands of viewers on TV take it for gospel and form a bad opinion of me as a hunter. We do not need any more bad publicity, and I would have figured Cherry would be more open minded on this issue. I can only imagine how he feels about firearms in general.:eek: I am shocked at this coming from his mouth.

I would not wear any of Don Cherry's outfits unless I was a clown at a circus and I would not want them if he wanted to give them to me for free ... but I would take the watches.

Imagine the shock if he came out of the closet? Where was he during the ###, dyke and transgender celebrations in Toronoto?
 
I always thought he was a horses ass ,after seeing this.....it confirms it.

Get him off the air , and put him in a home !!
