Hello CGN,

We have decided during this time to turn on our Salvation Army donation capabilities.

While checking out you will have the option to donate.

We are next door to the Salvation Army and they constantly express their
deep gratitude to the Canadian Firearms Community.

Very worthy charity, my family and I donate to them every year. They used to have a service every 29th May for those 167 members aboard of whom 128 died on the SS Empress Of Ireland sinking in the St Lawrence River in 1914 near Pointe Au Pere (father point)

Boys and girls, help your local food banks right now more than ever. There are going to be so many people not normally using that service in whichever area you're located.

I won't ever support that organization, they did there part during the world wars but since then have lost their way.

They give way too much to prison inmates to support. Ask any corrections officer what they do for the inmates.

And give MONEY not food. They can buy 3 times as much food as you can due to bulk buying and discounts they get, plus then they can buy the food that people actually need like milk and eggs and produce - the sort of stuff that doesn't normally get donated but people still need to eat a healthy diet. As ANOTHER bonus, every time you donate canned goods that stuff needs to be sorted, expired goods thrown out, stored somewhere, moved to that storage location if you're not donating it directly to where they store/distribute, and that all takes time and money to deal with, so if you donate money you not only provide 3 times as much food but you lower their overhead at the same time.

Yukon Government kicked the Salvation Army out of a building it built for them as the salvation army didn't provide the services it was paid to provide. Last organisation I would donate money too
