I did my first ladder test for my Garand yesterday. I had two different load ranges exhibit promising results, but I sighted differently with them. Shot 7,8, and 9 were very closely grouped but were about 5moa to the left of where 12,13 and 14 were. 14 was just under max load and I used .5gr increments. Question is if I use the lighter load and sight the rifle in to compensate will it be a mile off at longer ranges? I did the test at 100m and I have shot up to 500m with this rifle before, and it is my favorite rifle to shoot. Should I load up a batch of each and try them at longer ranges too? Holes almost touched in both groups, was very surprised and happy when I saw that.
