done my sks stock

how long did you let it sit on befor the finish came off?

only 5 minutes but i did a few applications, and then scrape off with an old credit card , comes off real easy.

this stuff works on oil, exopy paint, latex varnish, polyurethane, lacquer and shellac. no need to neatralize after and it would not raise the grain.

i also used it on bayonets to remove paint and it didnt harm the black finish, matter of fact the paint protect the bayo from wear and tear over the decades so i was pleasently surprised it was goods as new underneath..... good stuff.:dancingbanana:

Just finished mine

Just your run of the mill Norinco SKS. I stripped and stained the stock and blued the bolt carrier. Mom once said you can't polish a turd. What a liar she turned out to be!

thats pretty close to the original russian color and it also match the table. :D good work .

heres mine , instead of staining the stock on the early chinese SKS , its easier just to replace it with a red jungle stock . i have the blade bayo somewhere.

the previous owner of the "D" stripped and stained it, i sprayed a light coating of clear sheen on it.
