So I got a BCL102 reciever set and got it build with all odin works parts from day 1 I had extraction issues and eventually the gun exploded. It was built buy a gunsmith out in Alberta and after I had the first bunch of issues I got another gunsmith to take it apart and rebuild it. Tried multiple gas block and spring and buffer combination. On day on the range shooting factory ammo the gun had an out of battery detonation while I was trying to set an adjustable gas block.

Now all the parts are in a stag 10 set with a couple hundred round through it with no problem. According to BCL the issue was the barrel was over torqued guess had had two bad gunsmiths

Looking at the scoring from where the cam pin was cutting into the upper receiver, it would appear that you experienced the same problem resulting from incorrect barrel installation that was discussed at length in another thread.
I am not sure how incorrect assembly using miscellaneous parts is BCL's fault.

I would use the word gunsmith loosely. There are a lot of them that don't know what they are doing and I wouldn't let them touch a firearm.

I just encounter this exact problem least week. Pulled my rifle because the guy was F-ing stupid and wanted me to pay for him to make tools Like fawk I am

...seriously?

Sounds like one of those people that can't shoot worth a damn and blame the gun too.

I'd be making that "gunsmith" pay for a new receiver set.

If someone can't assemble a simple AR rifle they are not qualified to build Lego let alone be a gunsmith.

“Too much torque the barrel” sounds like BCL bull#### speak that actually means too much torque on the barrel because our barrel nut has a fatal design flaw.

Enjoy the Stag 10. It won’t blow up.

I see people with Lego AR's all the time at the range having issues. There is more to it than buying parts and slapping them together or they would all work properly. Seems everyone thinks they are a gunsmith these days.

untouched factory bcl rifles have been found to have the same issue, sounds like a design flaw that even BCL's own QC department let slide

Would be nice to have a picture of the barrel extension in the upper that shows if the feed ramps are aligned or if the barrel twisted in yet another upper due to a poor barrel nut design

BCL is replacing their defective rifles.
The OP did not buy a BCL rifle. He bought a stripped receiver set. Perhaps whoever assembled the rifle could accept responsibility.
Probably too late now, seeing as the parts have been reused elsewhere.

I guess you guys missed the part where he said he bought a BCL receiver set and had it assembled using all Odin Works parts. Do Odin Works handguards use BCL barrel nuts?????

Not defending BCL but holy crap people need to read before posting

EDIT: Looks like BCL 102 receiver sets do exist. My bad. I didn’t realize they existed.

Still likely that the amount of torque used would have been appropriate on a real AR-10 receiver. Still a garbage soft aluminum design.

This has happened to bcl assembled rifles as well, as I said earlier, talk about people reading before posting......

Not arguing the point that this is a regular occurrence with factory BCL rifles or that BCL has a flawed barrel nut design. I do however fail to see how that is even remotely relevant to the OP's rifle being a receiver set assembled with aftermarket parts.

Once again, does the Odin Works handguard use a BCL barrel nut?
