Don't forget to tap your adjustment knobs!!!

I don't bother tapping my scope between adjustments. If the adjustments don't track properly without tapping, either the scope is NFG or they scope tube is under stress from improper mounting.

Well, this one never gets tapped 'cause it never needs adjusting.

If I had to tap THIS one, it would be going back!

What's the purpose of this? I'm not being rude, but if you have to tap your turrets shouldn't you be sending the scope back to the manufacturer?

Yes. But on scopes on the older side warrantee or not the tap thing often works. I've brung goups from 4" right after adjustment down to moa and had them stay there with a little tap after the first group..

I can't see it hurting a scope to tap the turets although I've never done it.

If you scope won't stand up to that, you shouldn't have it on a CF rifle anyways.

I've never done it but that's because I've never heard of doing it! Those of us that can't afford a Leopauld buy stuff like Bushnell. I don't mind tapping my Bushnell one bit! If it's not leaving marks on the outside it's not hurting anything on the inside!

Sorry for the big pics guys, I am not sure how to make them smaller!

Use your photo editing program on your computer to resize your pics before you upload your pics to photobucket... [i.e. right click your pic on your 'puter; select "open with"; choose your photo edit program; click on resize; select pic size; etc....] ;)

Still doesn't make sense to me, but I'm going to give it a try next time.

photo editing program?
I can barely get pics posted, WTH is photo editing program?
I'll have to get Old badger to do it, last time I tried with my photobucket account I deleted a pic and made the other so small you couldn't tell who it was!
Sometimes they come out the right size, and sometimes not.
Anyway, I have some cheaper scopes and older scopes that get tapped
(and it works) , but my high dollar stuff doesn't.
I can turret to my heart's content with my IOR's from 200 right to the top with complete confidence.

Could be a nostalgia thing, some folks still tap their filter tipped smokes before lighting just like Bogey did in the old movies.
