these came on sale at the LGS for $630 and i must admit ive always thought they where kinda gimicky and i assumed they would be crappy but holy smokes when i asked to see one i was floored by how solid these guns are!

Ruger SR22 (10/22)

my dad was up for Christmas and he totally liked the feel of it too but passed on it than for the entire christmas and boxing day he lamented over the decision until the store opened up and he went in first thing and snapped up one, haha!

now i get to start looking for cool upgrades to it!
im thinking of keeping this one simple, full length top rail and a half or full length bottom rail, add a angled fore grip to the underside, slap on a red dot than the cherry on top im thinking one of the barrel shrouds to give it that suppressed look.

awesome new rifle, picked mine up on a whim last summer during a sale at wholesale ( about the same price) and its now my fav .22. Haven't started down the upgrade road yet but I'm sure its getting some add on's and maybe a paint job over the winter.

Congrats on the new rifle! I'm no 10/22 fan by any stretch...but have often said that to hold an SR22 is to want one. Pretty awesome/solid little rifles. Regardless, "new gun day" is the best day of the year for most of the gun owners I know, so congrats on the new shooter!
