Alexander Pavlovich Lobanov
The rather eccentric artwork of a Russian artist who was confined to a mental asylum due to his aggression and violent behavior. Lobanov had contracted meningitis as a child and became both deaf and mute which led to his subsequent behavior issues. He eventually became interested in art and most of his hundreds of drawings depict himself, Stalin or Lenin with bizarre side-by-side Mosin Nagant rifles. (GRH)
 
I like the shooting angels above him in the first picture. Truly inspired by orthodox iconography, then by the last one, it's more like Hindu culture.
I don't think he was any more a whack job than Picasso.
