Double Header Bear and Geese Question

The area I hunt is open for both black bear and geese here in Ontario at the same time, we hunt in Northern Ontario north of North Bay and have access to a large section of farmland that we regularly see black bear in eating what's left in the fields after harvest. My question is, are there any issues with bringing a rifle out into our layout blinds in case a bear comes within reach of us and we can fill a tag while out for geese?

I've dug through the regulations and googled but no firm answer so thought it worth polling the audience here if there are any issues with this idea.
 
I used to hunt the same areas for many years. In chats with CO's I knew back then you may not have more than one gun uncased while hunting migratory birds. You can legally carry as many as you want but only one may be uncased and loaded. But I'd confirm that with a CO in the NB office in case I am remembering wrong? I used to often keep a spare with me in a case and never had an issue. Also used to carry slugs for the same reasons with bears in the oats or corn crops.

Yeah the North Bay CO's are decent in my experience, worth a phone call I think just to be sure.

Slugs would be a good option but these guys hang out on the edges of the fields we hunt, about 200-300 yards out (yes I'm very comfortable at that range) so we will see if things come together.
