Epps frequently has originals for sale, and if you ask them if they are shooters they will tell you aye or nay as they check them closely.
very good folk as has been mentioned many times on this board.
i owned a pedersoli that i wish i still had.
many come on two grades one field grade - one magnum. for waterfowl go with the magnum, it takes a stouter load. (you can basically tell by the weight - mag is 7+ lbs... field grade 6+lbs)
myself i have a 12 ga flinter double that i shouldn't be able to shoot worth
s--t. length of pull too long (15+") etc etc.
all my birds were taken this year with this gun ... go figure. i think i am simply more deliberate in my shooting with it ... shoot and you have 2-5 minutes work ahead of you.

fire 1 shot and reload ... keep the second barrel in case you wound a bird. alternate your barrels so the load doesn't loosen up.
i keep my loading simple - card wads - no felt- no cushions.
muzzle loading shotguns are a hoot. sure wish i still had that pedersoli field grade tho.
