Double Stack tokarev Possible?

Even if that happens you will still be limited to 10 rounds regardless weather it holds 11 or 20 rounds. If there were no mag restrictions I would be all for a double stack 7.62x25, but in a modern design pistol like a XDM or SigSauer, not that there's anything wrong with the Tokarev, I have 2 M213s and they work fine, but the XDM looks really nice and if it can hold 19 9mm rounds it will hold the same amount of 7.62x25.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 7.62x25 round seems to be the same length as a .45acp, so any firearm that shoots .45acp could be made to shoot 7.62x25, like a 1911, Sig P220, Sig P250 or XD45.

I just checked and a 8 round .45acp 1911 mag will hold 10 9mm rounds but they won't stay in, so I'm thinking a same dimensions mag with different lips could work, seams like all you would need is a .45 frame, 9mm slide and a different barrel.

Just thinking outloud.

That's fine. I just like the Tokarev looks and strength. Ten rounds or twenty, I should still like a double stack against the day when reason once again raises it's head, (ugly as it may be to the more fascist leaning canadians out there) and the little pin can be removed from the magazine. Nineteen rounds would be nicer on the fingers during winter shooting outdoors. And another type of Tokarev would dimply be nice to have.

7.62x25 really is that scarce, and from what i"ve heard, it is the goverment holding up shipments, not the suppliers. I know a retailer who told me his supplier has a warehouse full of ammo, but cannot be released until our goverment approves.

length difference isn't that big between tokrev and 45ACP, 38 super or 10mm auto, 9x25 Dillon etc. I think it is somewhere around 1mm. I believe some manufactureers have shorter OAL than its fullest so ammo will fit. And I think most large frame double stack pistols can be converted into tokarev. I am thinking Caspian in 38 super comp for example - you only need barrel. Mag, boltface, extractor etc everything should work fine.

I made one double stack mag for my beretta Storm, but having shorter magwell it can only hold my reloads with a bit shorter OAL. Making custom mags is real pain in the neck btw

Double-stack a piece of crap like a Tok?

"Everybody knows" the Tok is nothing but a ripoff from J. Moses Browning Who Walketh Upon The Waters.

Wonder if we could get those nice folks at Tul'ski Oruzheiniya Zavod to build them? They've already done the toolroom work, it seems.

Put me down for one.
