Douglas Barrels

I have used a couple over theyears, and they were fine. However they were no better than any of the Canadian-made barrels I have used, and not as good a some of them.

RKS and King barrels were both more accurate, and I know there are other members here who have posted about their great experience with other Canadian barrels.

I had one put on a Husqvarna Lightweight rifle years ago by PGW in a featherweight size and it has been excellent. About 23" in 30.06 caliber. Ross also bedded it and ensured the action was tight. The profile of the barrel is smaller than the original so there was no problem with free floating either. If nothing has changed with their quality I wouldn't hesitate.
I also took the time and effort to break in the barrel according to the instructions Ross gave me. About 20 rounds with a lot of proper cleaning.
