DPM recoil reduction system

I purchased one direct from that website, and I recommend this method to you. From what I recall, there are other vendors for this product but you won't find savings so may as well buy direct instead of going through a vendor. The owner is Dimitrios and he seems to do all the orders himself. I used my VISA and it was about $85 Canadian after the exchange and shipping. Dimitrios will take good care of you and is very open to calling you if you have any questions or concerns. A+ for service for sure.

As for the product itself, I read some awesome reviews which is why I decided to purchase one for my Walther P99 in .40. Sad to say I was disappointed. I did not notice much of a difference in felt recoil between the stock spring and the DPM. I will one day give it another chance and probably do a side by side comparison though.

Looks like a very creative fellow with access to machining equipment. The Magnetic recoil reducer seems like something you'd think of while high on pot, then forget about when the pizza showed up. The spring device looks way complicated, and other than not allowing the slide to hit the back of it's normal stroke, I don't understand how it would reduce recoil.
He seems to think the slide is the be all, and end all, of pistol recoil problems. Maybe he should try a revolver and see that the bullet gives way more momentum and recoil than the movement of the slide.

LOL good points.

Dunno about the magneto one but the mechanical one is basically like this guy took the kind of recoil springs HK has been using for years and made ones to fit a variety of other guns.

I have one in my Glock 26. I find that it does help me reaquire the target faster after each shot. I haven't timed it or anything though so it may all be in my head but I do like this system.

Hi all,
thanks for the replies!
Sambaru, i will definitely get it through the website. While maybe the recoil reduction seems to be appealing, I am also interested in the fact that it says the buffer protects the frame from the slide...
No idea how that works and it may be unnecessary...just hope I do not end up having new problems!

Cool!

A couple of things to consider then if you are worried about any new problems....

Keep in mind the DPM dual spring is way stiffer than any stock spring so it is a little harder to rack the slide. It's not a huge difference, but it's noticeable. Along the same lines, if you use lighter loads, you may possibly have to deal with slide not locking back on last round or possibly FTE but if you use factory ammo, this shouldn't be a problem.
