DPMS, Bushmaster, Storm Lake, and Tapco are closing their doors.

That sucks to hear. I guess I'll hold on to my ACR for longer now.

What's going to happen with ACR parts? Are those still available?

ACR is the only thing I'll mourn... though my old Bushmaster AR was actually a really good rifle.

I read that the right will revert back to Magpul if Remington/Bushmaster doesn't sell so many units. If that's the truth, ACR could be reborn when Magpul got the right back.

Magpul has the molds for all the parts of the ACR already. The other jigs and tech package are there, I can see that a deal could be struck. Magpul has money now and they can make it happen if they desire.

That'd be nice!!!

Bushmaster was a decent line when they were made in Windham by Windham Weaponry. Can’t say the same for when they were made by Remington.

Unfortunate news irregardless hate to see any manufacturers downsize

More additions to the "Freedom group" casualties.
I look forward to them all going belly up and getting their IP's purchased by companies that give a #### like Ruger.

What makes the Oracle a bad AR to you? I've put thousands of rounds through one before with zero issues.

There are many ways to make cheap ARs, but I feel like the Oracle cuts corners in the wrong places. An aluminum gas block is unforgivable in my opinion. The handguards, as J Hancock mentioned, are basically airsoft quality. I hate the look and feel of the Oracle's stock. I would take a Norinco CQ-A or an M&P-15 Sport 2 instead.

Sks rifles are now safe from being molested into a Tapco stock.
Rest easy SKS, you can now live a natural life surrounded by nice hardwood

don't forget there are many out there The Matador aluminum chassis ProMag stocks but yeah I like the natural wood but of SKS I had the stock was broken at the wrist and I couldn't repair it so I got a archangel stock

Just so you know;

Tapco was also making very nice wood stocks for SKS rifles.

I'll wait and see what White wolf capital scoops up...here's to market improvements.

I really hope this is a great indicator for the outsourcing of products.

Tapco was the herpes of the gun world.

There was one Tapco product I use on a regular basis, and quite like. Their premium (Made in USA) armorers wrench was a solid piece of kit.

I'm not sure if it's proprietary, but if it is, the big positive that could come from this is an "open-sourcing" of the G2, but I doubt we'll be so lucky. So far it's just DPMS, F4, and PSA making it.

I was wondering why I couldn’t get onto the DPMS website. Another poor decision brought to you by The Freedom Group.

Question, who makes .308 barrel nut/delta rings other than DPMS? I’m building a retro style AR-10 and I need that delta ring and barrel nut to make it work. I ordered from Gravel and they told me ETA 4 - 8 weeks.
