I'm thinking about changing out the lower receiver of my Norc AR with a DPMS stripped lower. Is it really worth it? I've heard that there are are some thread issues. Easy to get around?

Can't comment on what you may experience with this specific build... but I've been using a DPMS lower for a while now with 4 different uppers since I bought it and never had any problems.

With that being said, the machining work on the lower is mediocre at best, IMO. It has functioned flawlessly but tooling marks are quite plainly visible around the magwell and so on.

Just curious about what you mean by the machining. Are the marks on the exterior, or interior? Part of my reasoning for the change would be improve the 'look'.

Notice the uneven and rough surface just under and to the right of the blue bar masking the serial number?

Of course this could just be mine... and it snuck past quality assurance or whatever, but who knows. If that kinda thing will bother you, you might wanna see the receiver up close or ask for closeup photos before purchasing.

Wow do you have a terrible lower Darko. My DPMS lower has no machining issues. As nice as any Bushy or Stag I've had.
