DPMS Oracle, 16" Barrel, 5.56 NATO, $659.95 plus a $50 rebate!

First time buyer of a black rifle.

So... at the risk of being flamed by the CGN community ... I have two questions that I hope can be answered.

I ordered a DPMS Oracle from SFRC mentioned in the first post. Looking forward to receiving it. This is my first black rifle.

Questions:
1) Do the following magazines LAR-15 223/5.56 10 Round AR15 Pistol Magazine work with this rifle?
2) How are they legal for use with this rifle when they can hold 10 rounds? BTW, saying they're Pistol magazines explains nothing for me.

When I ordered the DPMS rifle, these magazines showed up under the, "People who purchased this rifle also bought the following..." section on the page.

Thanks for any useful advice.

Magazine limit is based off of what the magzine is made/designed for not what it is used in. The LAR magazine is a "pistol" magazine so it can hold 10 rounds and be used legally in a rifle if it happens to fit (yes it will fit any AR15).

Frumpy,

thanks for the clarification.

Cheers,

Some of these will start shipping tomorrow but please bear with us as we have sold a ton of them and it will take a while to get them all out.

I guess it depends on if you want a tactical case or just a plain hard case. You can spend $25 or you can spend $200 and up.

I use an aluminum case for my AR that was originally for a take down shotgun.

If anyone is on the fence about buying one....

Don't be!

So far I'm loving mine. Fit and finish is FAR superior to a Norinco and same price! I'm about 600 rounds in and zero malfunctions.

You really can't go wrong with this rifle. Thanks SFRC! You guys are awesome!
