Looking at the bolt carrier group for the DPMS pattern AR, the forward part of the carrier looks much bigger than the rear part. What guides the bolt carrier inside the upper receiver? On an AR15 it is essentially the full length of the carrier, but the DPMS set up looks like the rear part of the carrier is floating and only the front half makes contact with the inside of the upper. Is that correct?

I ran into a similar fit issue before, and it turned out my problem was actually with the buffer tube setup, not the BCG itself. Just out of curiosity, are you using an AR15 Upper Receiver on anything else in your build? Sometimes folks mix that in by mistake, and it throws everything off — especially with DPMS pattern specs.
