Dpms sweet 16?

Nice rifles, built for accuracy. A guy I know uses his to pop golf balls at 200yd. The ones I've handled have been tight and well finished. They are not 'mil spec' and may be a bit heavy for run & gun events if that matters to you.

I think Wolverine can get them.

raks sums it up well.

I looked at one a number of years ago at a local gunstore. I also own a DPMS LR-308. From both inspection and ownership the DPMS firearms are decent commercial grade, definitely not milspec. It will shoot decently. It's a short target rifle. Seemed pretty good actually. I expected the balance to be really front heavy but it was ok. One thing with DPMS, expect to be buying a new trigger. On the older ones I checked out and on my LR-308 the stock triggers were crap. I don't know if they have changed this or not.

Also keep in mind there are a lot of great AR rifles for sale right now. The DPMS is a nice little toy but there are others out there if the price is too high. I would not pay anywhere near as much for the sweet 16 as I would for the Stag or Armalite target rifles. Make sure it's a good deal. Otherwise there are other option.

I just like the style of the free float tube.

Darn, I might just build my own version with a AP or PSA lower with a 16 inch barrel.

I wish we had a none restricted option that would actually match the AR15. XCR is nice, but 1000$ to much for me.

I would love to hunt with a AR15, and it seems like I cant figure out a decent replacement.

I considered mr1, su-16, only one good enough is XCR, just the price.

building my own I guess!

Stag 6R and Armalite target with 20" stainless barrel both have Roynded non railed free float tubes like the DPMS. Both will be a nicer rifle than the DPMS. Bit the DPMS sweet 16 is the only bull barreled target AR15 with a 16" barrel if that is important to you.
