DragBags who needs one?

I also agree with Skullboy, in a match enviorment, but in the field when you need to pack your gear for hunting or other recreational activities having the compartments is an asset. Just because you have the compartments doesnt mean you have to fill them every time, Pack for the purpose kinda mentality.

My bag usually carries Rifle, Ammo, spotting scope, Laser Range finder, data book, munchies if in the field.....don't leave home without your jerky, first aid kit, and what ever the day may require. It's a real ##### to try and hump a backpack and drag bag at the same time, but a drag bag with compartments is the cat's arse.

I am trying to come up with a design that incorporates a dragbag/backpack all in one where it would fold out into a shooting mat and utilizing the backpack portion for a shooting rest. My design skills suck and Im no seamstress but I think it would be a hit for those that use one in the field....what do you think?

What it looks like is the Arktis and the Eagle are both quite popular.

We will offer an option on the group buys:

Arktis $200 10 people for this
dpm, od

Eagle Hybrid sniper rifle cover $390 10 people
black, od, khaki

Eagle Rifle case/shooting pad $145 10 people
black, od, khaki

Add to you order for:
(these can be individual)

$8 for trigger defender

$10 to your order for a scope dope

$42 for a Eagle stock pad

$80 for a M24 sling

PM Jamie what you want for sure, and if we get 10 for a bag we'll go ahead.

Small print: This does not include tax or shipping.

Thanks Darren!!!A+ dude its great that you added the small stuff

as soon as my wife is gone for the month I will get a few pic's up of how I go to the range and the Kitt I carry in to the field the shooting mat/bag works for some but not for me I just carry a ground sheet with my drag bag then all the kitt I need is right be side me in my bag

I think I am going to go with a roll up shooting mat and just attach it to the dragbag.I have a "belly shooter" style mat right now, but it folds up into a square and can be a pain to pack around.

The mat will just be used to keep "dry" as I won't really need a padded mat as the Propper ACU's I bought have pockets for knee and elbow padding built in.:D

IMHO, the more compact, or less gear you can carry in the field, the better!!!

Ok I am in for the Artkis Drag Bag in DPM and a OD M24 sling. Skullboy check out the Artkis shooting mat I got 1 from Oneshot its great, Thanks Darren

Ok.

OD Artkis Drag Bag.

My old bag isn't long enough to hold my new rifle. Pain in the buttski to carry a big Dockosil case all the time. (Especially walking in the road to the range....)

I'm not trying to make a sale but I also use a Tac Force drag bag and can pack one of the shooting mats I stock that hardly takes any room at all. So a shooting mat can be portable and still be good. I was using a Tac Force shooting mat but it's just too bulky to carry around.

I'm in for an Arktis drag bag in OD, plus Eagle Stock Cheek Pad in OD.

There is a great drag bag at ProLine Shooters in Calgary made by Tac Force. Same company that made the ones Long Range Cannuck is using but a little smaller. I believe it is 48 inches long which is long enough for most custom rifles. Has lots of pouches for gack and shoulder harness for carrying it around. Comes in black, od green and tan color. Costs around $240 for one but a deal on 15 to 20 group buy should be able to be put together. Does anyone that has one of these Tac Force drag bags able to post a picture of this great looking bag?

Another model of drag bag can be seen at: Marksman Supplies.

(Link Edited . Sorry, no links to non CGN sponsering businesses as per board policy. SKBY)

I believe these would be the style you are talking about if you are not talking about the square ones like mine. The guy's at ProLine are standup guys, as well as my favorite smith, bags can be had from both sources, and they are rugged.

Buy the bags according to what suits your needs and purpose all are excellent and all comeing from standup people.

Darren from One Shot Tactical has gone above and beyond again in supporting this and other ventures he has in the past and I would not hesitate to deal with him on anything at anytime. His support of the shooting sports is to be commended. I hope none of my posts to show other options has been interpreted as undermining his generosity. Or defeating the purpose of a group buy, they are great, and all great kit, take advantage of every deal you can get. I am just showing an option of what works for me and my style of shooting and hunting.

We did a group buy of Marksman Dragbags two years ago IIRC.

At this time we are trying to do Group buys through Dealers who are sponsers of CGN.I think that is only fair as they have paid a sponsership fee to advertise here, so we should give them some business back.

If there is interest in a group buy for an item that none of our sponsering dealers carry, then that is a different thing.

The policy for doing group buys is to contact the Admin (greentips)and explain what you want to set up and he will give the yea, or nay.The final decision on group buys rests with him (as he is the chief Admin and site owner).

This current Group buy for DragBags will be going through Farmboy, AKA One Shot Tactical.

For the next one a different CGN Dealer will be approached.

BTW LRC, I don't think any of us see you as "undermining" One Shot Tactical or defeating the purpose of this group buy.It is always good to see different manufacturers offerings, and compare them against each other.;)

Thx.

Thanks for the invite, this is realy turning into a have gun will travel year for me, so why stop now. I have the Summerland shoot in April, The first Anual Viking .50BMG Gopher Shoot in May. BCRA Precision Rifle Match in June, which will probably turn into a visit to the Mother & Father in Laws on Van-Island, which means I can take Rohan up into Copper Canyon for a shoot as I promiced him. Maybe our 1000yrd Range will be finished for July up here in Fort Mcmurray so I can see about hosting the First Annual MAC-TAC Precision Rifle Match in July. Just need a date for August. And I need to inform my boss that work is starting to interfere with my shooting and he needs to do something about that.:p :D :D :D

I love this sport!!!:D

I called in my order this morning.

This means I'll end up having to take off all the Gold/Silver/Bronze patches from my old bag and put them on my new one.

My bag ain't going to be a "tactical" one....it's a practical one. With some of my award patches sewn on the outside (NSRA used to give out sew-on patches as prizes, I've got a few of 'em.)

It's going to be a range-drag-bag for me...I don't crawl in the mud, I'm a sailor ;-)

I am starting a new Stickied Thread for those who are actually ordering to post their order.

Payment/Contact info for One Shot Tactical will be posted there as well.

This will be strictly to keep track of who has ordered, so no other posts will be allowed.

This Group by will close at the end of February 2007.

Please post your order here:
