draggin meat with the 762

hey Dan,
so the first shot ..... Yeah so all the big deer have needed 2 shots so far.......

i spined this one high shoulder an it Dropped but needed a finisher...... a bit spewing as was hoping for a 1 shot kill with 762, i blame the scope being on 3, being nice an close and for some reason i aim up instead of low, i think when its close its always going to be So'n'So below the scope line...... simply isnt the case.

the Fallow about to start grunting here this week or two, so should be able to do some nice close bush hunting on the grunting bucks.... havnt seen any shooters tho

Try your loads at closer ranges to verify the distance off center. When I hunted whitetails in close brush I usually used a peep sight or a very low power (1.5) scout style scope. It worked quite well for that purpose. - dan

oh yeah nah its not just like that, bit more in the head than anything.. was shootin it side by side the .222 yesterday at 240 meters, both print same drop at that distance..... kind of cool.

the 3-12 is a perfect fit
