I been on a hunt for one for 14 months trying to get one for cheaper then the 200$ total retails ask for, I finally got one a few weeks ago. After being baffled with the strange install screw set up I got it on and took it to the range and for a guy with longer arms I say its a must have. I find it easier for quick target acquisition and the contour of the grip is excellently upgrade. It adds more LOP and that's great for me because I'm around 6 feet tall and short guns feel cramped.

I loved how if your shooting in the bush this thing is a breeze to carry around with the stock compared to the "full stock" wood, chipboard, polymer or even AR syle that I have owned or tried, its so much easier to hang on to and you forget its even there.

I cant believe CSA stopped bring these stock in to us but I figure it was a cost issue. With a scope on it I could actually get the proper eye relief as well, huge bonus. I figure with a PSOP mount and a scope with enough adjustment it would be a dream to shoot.

In reference to OPs actual post though:

This stock was primarily built as a way to make a Vz58 california compliant. Remember they have crazy laws around pistol grips. There was also a CSA gun that is somehow single stack, and only feeds from a proprietary 10 round magazine. For a while there those compliance guns were going under the Vz58 sporter name, but that seems to loosely apply to the entire line of csa rifles now.

Glad you like it. We and the guys in the Czech office never found the skeleton stock quite felt right. Are there any aftermarket cheek risers out there for it? Or would you be stuck making something to accommodate the powered optics?

The current batch of CSA guns are all shipping with the straight tube commercial spec AR-15 stocks. No more folding, but you get adjustable LOP and can very easily fit a cheek riser on those puppies.

Also, you know they don't have to be $200 right? We sell ours for $60 USD (which is what, almost 200 CAD?)
 
Yes the Dragunov style stocks, and all thumbhole stocks for that matter are usually pretty comfy! Combining that with a POSP should result in a pretty awesome VZ, be sure to post the finished product!
