Dragunov clones

Sadly since our government has decided they are too dangerous for us to have people have to make their own. There is the famous thread of someone taking an SVT-40 I believe it was and making it into a Dragunov.

One thing that got me wondering though was, has anyone here made a Valmet M78 into a Dragunov clone?

Ive seen some pictures online and they turn out pretty decently it seems.

The M78 'sniper' is pretty well the same thing. I made a buttstock that looks like this one for a 58.

I think Teapot is bringing some Medved rifles that might also be suitable, but also expensive...

I've seen some SVD wood furniture for sale, but never a stock, dont know if it's importable from the Ukraine.

I think you might need to read my post again, Im asking about a Valmet M78 not an SVT40.....

Kasat built the prettiest one. BBQ-whoa(?) owns it IIRC. Turned out pretty spanky.

Not sure what the base is but Dimitri sure has a handsome pair...
