Dreaming of a new to me 44 magnum

I'd buy another one of these, but I want a 16" barrel this time. Still have sellers remorse from getting rid of it though.

Since mid-December I scored my grail Winchester Take down trapper 16" and an Chiappa Alaskan 12" both in 44.

To be fair the Alaskan is my dads, but it's till in the family.

Love my henry X model in 44. Sold a jm stamped marlin in 44, because I just couldn't see that wood stock getting dinged up with my use, so the X model was the perfect fit.

Easy to scope, and I shoot mine out to 200 m so far with the vx 2-7x33.

There are a few chiappa's out there on the retail scene, and looks like henry's are starting to trickle in again.

I can't wait until Ruger comes out with the new marlin 44's. I had a chance to play with the new 45-70, and would love to get my hands on the 44 model.

The old ruger .44 semi carbine is about as fun it gets in.44 mag,my alaskan take down chiappa 16 inch rifle in.44 is a close second, thry are both very fun at the range.

I've shot bears with the .44 carbine and 240 grain hollow point Blazers, absolute devastated.

That trapper takedown was just like the one I sold. It was probably the best lever gun I've ever had. I didn't want to drill & tap for a receiver sight but that's what it needed for me to be able to see the sights well in low light.

Chris.
