Had a request to drill and tap a Golden Boy 22lr for a scope, totally different from my non golden boy. My Henry has a dovetail for scope rings but the golden boy has nothing as well as a different profile. So my question is, does anybody make a base suitable. I haven't found anything yet in my looking around. If it was mine I wouldn't even think about it, not sure even what it would be like to drill and tap if it's solid brass receiver or not. What is the opinion of the collective here?

The barrel is drilled & tapped under the rear sight, there is a base that attaches there and sits over the receiver.

I had a cantilever mount on my Golden Boy .22 magnum. Impossible to get a good cheek weld.

I must have looked ridiculous with my mouth wide open so my jaw would touch the stock!!

Look for a riser of some sort while you're at it.
