Couple of companies making these, Chip McCormick and Timney, the CMC one is more expensive but they both have a 3lb pull weight and CMC offer a two-stage version.

Anyone got one? Any good?

Looks like CMC are set on keeping the market to themselves: https://www.chipmccormickcorp.com/Pages/News_Press.html

They also do a two-stage, Timney doesn't.

Can't find any comments from anyone on AR15.com or elsewhere using them for anything other than blasting rounds off at the local range, I was more interested in serious target use as well.

Worrying about the gun doubling isn't such an issue when you only have five rounds...

I have a Jard 4# single stage in my AR and it's a lot better than stock, but nowhere near a boltgun trigger.

Im not picky and I just dislike the hard and choppy pull on my DPMS lower so anything will be an improvement. Not looking for bolt gun quality but the CMC 1-stage does sound nice and light.

Geissele

I have the service rifle version, much better than OEM Colt or Stag, legal for SR competition at ~4 pounds. There is also a DMR version ~2 pounds.

Contact dangertree or see www.armseast.com.

I've been able to get a hold of him multiple times via email... maybe try phoning instead, the number is on the site.

Also the price is listed for the trigger... $345

I'd give one a shot but I was really after a single stage and they only list 2-stage on the site. I've also never had my lower apart so it would be a bigger job for me personally to install that over a CMC drop-in.

Geisseles are 2 stage, and very impressive. More info at www.ar15triggers.com.

The Canadian MSRP is $345, domestic US MSRP is about C$335, the difference doesn't cover the cost of getting these up here.

AEI has all high speed trigger models in stock.

Gunasauras, sorry to hear email not answered, PM sent.

PM responded to Walt.....you're a good man!

I really like the RRA 2 stage match. Drops right in, not too light for hunting and breaks very clean. OH it was $85US 2 years ago, probably cheaper now.

To be honest I started this thread because I'm interested in the self-contained trigger units. I've already got a JP Enterprises trigger and it's very good, however its a lot of fiddling to move it from one gun to another, making sure the sear engagement etc. is correct and the CMC unit looks like a simpler solution.

There are any number of companies making AR-15 triggers, if I was going to go that route again I'd buy a Jewell trigger.
