Got some takers for CASE safety this year...they say they arent "ready" for matches yet but cant pass up on the CASE value...im sure thier minds will change after running the crucible safely ;)

Cannot wait for this to start.... though I guess I'll have to. March is too far away.

Will be interesting to see what ranges / how they are utilized at Mission.

Just FYI,

IPSC BC website says they have a TMSA 2-gun match scheduled on 18-Mar-2018 (IPSC rules). This would be a conflict for TacRifle use of the TMSA ranges that same day if the TacRifle match does not get moved to the 25th?

I've seen IPSC run on the same day as Tac Rifle at TMSA. The entire range was covered in cars. But the IPSC was pistol only, not sure if the ranges they were using that day are also rifle caliber rated.

Talk to Sean or John. They’re the contact people for Mission.

I'm just curious to see if they will use just the pistol and tombstone, or include the 300 yard rifle range as well. It'll be interesting to see how it's used. No rush to find out.

Nice, can't wait to shoot my first!! Also watching for the first CASE date, the wife wants to do the course :)

Right you are ! Why should we be content with her only kickin our arses regularly at IDPA matches and Speed Steel shoots ?

We have to get Ron , Sean and Jay on the course as well. Then we can move as a squad through Tac- match , IDPA , Battlerifle shoots and Speed Steel competitions. All at the same range !!

Just a bump to let people know that registration for the CASE qualifier is now open, if you have been thinking of giving it a go, nows the time , you won't regret it :)

How hard is the case qualifier? Do you have to be able to hit a x size target at x distance within x time?

Nope! Not hard but will challenge new shooters who are used to bench shooting their black guns. No actual marksmanship skills required other than being able to follow instructions and being safe. We leave the scoring part to a real match!

It’s a safety course to demonstrate our requirements of any shooter interested in trying this dynamic form of sport shooting. Check out the DSSMatch.com site for a sample stage of the final exam for CASE.

I took and passed the CASE course on this rain, snow and windy day. All i can really say is how impressed i was with the RO' and SO's. The focus was on being safe at all times. It was very professional in that regards and alot of humour thrown in to keep the rest of the instruction light and us soggy participants motivated. If anyone is on the fence about taking it, jump in and do it. Even if you dont shoot a match ever, you still got to do the course, shoot a few hundred rounds and have fun for a measly $30.
