just completed the CASE qualifier last night in Chilliwack, they were nice enough to offer the course over two nights for those of us who cannot make the usual weekend course. Seven of us took the course, which gave the instructors lots of time to work with small groups, and a ton of one on one instruction!
You know the instructors are doing their job properly, all seven of us shot a clean and more importantly, safe qualifier, and everyone understood the course of fire, and what was expected of us, fantastic job to all the instructors!!
If you have been considering giving DSSmatch a try, get out and do the qualifier, these guys are dedicated to what they do, and there are decades of knowledge between the instructors, not bad guys to have as your instructors!
Big thanks to CGN'ers Still alive, Phat Eagle, Smelly Pete, and of course Caje, giving up your weeknights on top of everything else you guys do for a bunch of newbs sure shows your character and commitment to the sport. I have no doubt that you will see every single student from our class at matches in the future. Also thanks to my fellow students, great, safe class!!!

Thanks for the kind words edgy! It is always worth the effort when we get enthusiastic and dedicated students. Also fun to hear students say " I've never done that before!" And see wide eyes and panting!

Our next match is this Sunday, the 20th at TMSA. Chilliwack will follow Sept. 9 with a 2-gun. We always need volunteers to help set up the day before each match as it takes about 1.5hrs to properly set up a stage and we have 5!! Many hands make light work so please help if able!

Setting gets you an extra draw ticket and points for getting into the season- ender and coveted Night Shoot!
Set up at either ranges is usually around 1pm the day before. Just show up and be ready to help!

Count me in for the set-up work guys .... whether I shoot or not ! The encouragement, advice , mentoring and welcoming attitude I've received from all four of the above mentioned characters warrants the volunteer work alone. I've taken a lot of instructional courses over my time on this planet and these guys are some of the best instructors I've come across and volunteers at that! Mark ( Still alive ) has spent a number of weekends of his own time out with myself and my significant other teaching us hand gun handling techniques so to enter his dynamic sport shooting arena with the A.R. 15's was yet another huge eye-opener. These guys are very professional and know what they're doing which becomes obvious when you are on the instructional side of their combined decades of experience. They do everything from instructing , to issuing competency certificates , to securing sponsorships and organizing matches ALL on a volunteer basis so total props to dssmatch.com for all they do !! Our six month experience at the Chilliwack range has been a real tribute to the awesome attitude and atmosphere that we have experienced since joining. We've gone from firing 22lrs to 9mm handgun's to ARs. Speed steele matches , IDPA shoots , now dynamic sport shooting ARs and soon two gun matches with an eventual goal of showing up at a three gun match and kicking arse with entry-level gear ... LOL... I kid. I'm a kidder . I'm also a newbie and have total respect for the whole gang out at rather Chilliwack Range. All thanks to everyone mentioned above and Ed (edgy ) himself and his gal for welcoming us with open arms and a #### load of fire arms to try out. Just like his popcorn products, this stuff is addictive. I think he's actually a bit of a pimp.... he's got me hooked dammit ! Next step is battle kilts and a tactical rifle shoot ! Lookout CGN vendors ... we're converted !
