DT11 Sporter

I am in Budapest. I will post more pictures next week once I get back. After shooting 5 fields of Compak yesterday, I can tell you that using some very good RC ammo including the RC Red Supernik, I smoked some at distance with the IC chokes. When I say distance, you can lower the gun for the second shot when the target breaks, a bit over 1 second! I had my triggers modified by Mario (Beretta Italy roving major shoot gunsmith) today. He said that Beretta spent much time on both computer patterns and actuals clays to see what the new barrels can do. Basically, there are no forcing cones, and a 10CM lenght that is cylinder bore before the shot enters the chokes. While others have used reamers to shape a barrel, Beretta hammer forges the barrel on a harder template. WHatever, it works!

Henry;)

The IC before the chokes sounds much like the old Jug Choke system which was know to produce more even patterns.

The barrels are a lighter "Steelium" alloy. Very lively. You have a very noce stock the others I have seen in Ontario have poor wood.

Actualy, the gun is a touch barrel heavy! It balances about an inch past the pivot point. I had one bad field with a 1.5 Hr delay. We got high winds and white clouds on our first field. I forgot to clean my glasses and was chastised by my wife after the next field where I shot a 22 with two brainpharts and one missmount! Everything except fo two targets, were smoke with the IC and RC ammo! Madame was pretty impressed!

Mario worked my triggers and there is no more any creep and very crisp! I gave him yesterday some maple syrup and bought him lunch as he had a backload of guns to work on. It pays to keep the troops well fed when someitme in the future you may need them! have know Mario since 2000 In Weiner Neudstadt when he wanted to clean my 390 while I was doing a Long Turn test report for The Clay Pigeon.

I had a Frenchmen with a DT11 Sporter on my squad with one of the new pistols molded grips stocks. It is the new in vogue in Europe.

Have a great day
Henry
