Duck hunting on Vancouver Island, BC

Hello,
My name is Vitaliy. I have 18 years of hunting experience. I got the majority of my experience in Kazakhstan and Russia (Moose, Wild Boar, Deer, Marmot, Goose, Duck). Last 3 years I am hunting in British Columbia. I like long-distance shooting, but BC doesn't have a lot of opportunities for practice. So, I like to learn about Canadian hunting culture through this forum. I like to know good places for duck hunting on Vancouver Island. Thanks

Welcome! Its a great island we live on where abouts are you located? North,south or central island? Theres some spots in crofton and cowbay etc i have hunted crofton for ducks down swallow field rd out on the flats but i havent been out in a few years

Thank you, everybody, for welcoming. I am living in Langford. It is close to Victoria. It is a gorgeous place but hunting here is limited by space. Also, it is quite difficult to find a place for long-distance shooting practicing. If you have hunting experience on the Island, could you share possible location for duck hunting? Thanks.
 
Thank you for the advice. I already did. I bought Tikka .308 and CZ 512 22lr. Now, I am thinking about a shotgun. I used to use Belelli comfort and I love Benelli. What would be your suggestions for shotgun for duck and goose hunting? Thanks.
