Duck update #7 Duckling pics

Some pictures from our low water cameras and a few of the boxes. Birds are still active although its late. We expect a few hatches this week.

Well Canso my swallows were spared an Okanagan Spring (as in flooding), the lake has stabilized and actually dropped a bit. All four boxes are producing nice little bug eating machines, so a major success for us. Definitely moving the two boxes near the water out of harms way come fall. That was a bit tense for a bit. Wood ducks are an incredibly beautiful bird, those photos are special.

Good to hear they stayed dry. We have hatched some swallows out of our woody boxes this year, and last week we erected a few swallow boxes near our Woody boxes. Hope is the swallows prefer the smaller boxes!
We are winding down, maybe 3 weeks left....
