Duckbill ithaca 37

James "Patches" Watson would approve!

Have you shot it yet? I know I'd almost be scared to.

have not shot it yet but i will soon.

the knuckle was taken off the barrel and the clamp added in the place.

Very cool, I like it.

First time I've heard of a mag tube not taking parkerizing.

Would like to get a Duckbill spreader eventually, probably for an 870 though.

Interesting project, nice job JTF# .

How was the duckbill added to the barrel? Silver solder? Threaded?

And do you have a closeup pic or two of the detail of the barrel clamp just past the forend? I guess the lug was removed from the barrel...was a new clamp soldered on or something?

-the mag tube would not take the parking because it was alloy of some kind. not real steel like the rest of the gun.

-Gary made the duckbill from bar stock. the gator is your best bet like madashell wrote.

-right now it is high heat epoxied on but after i test it if it all holds up i might get it silver soldered on.

-the lug is just soldered on. the mag clamp is like any other. you just need to have it on the barrel before you install the duckbill.

i will post pics of the target once i test it out. the real one was supposed to be 3:1.

Keep in mind that the original duckbill was designed to be used with #4 buckshot, 00 will probably be a disapointment.
