what do you 'get'? that they have no ethics beyond money-grabbing? DU Canada is very different from DU USA....DU USA is very pro-freedom which is pro-gun. DU Canada ...not so much but they still want you to pour cash into their banquets etc. They lost me and I am not going to their shoot banquets or anything.
 
Back in the 90’s DU took the same stand on gun control and registration how soon we forget all this was said before let’s see how this plays out

100%...that and the attitude behind the committe I had been a member of are the reason I no longer support DUC. I used to be proud to display the DU Canada donor/sponsor decals back in the day. I still have a few DU artworks I won at shoots but everything else I've gotten rid of.

It is a "class" thing. The DU marketing approach is for the " token woke class" with all their virtual signaling wealth to make them look like they care for some cause. And most important it is to suck as much money from this rich bunch of urban sucker bait. Just look at the DU social occasions versus your little gun club supper.

To Hell with the real duck hunters.

One Solution: Take the tax deduction away from this organization. Anyone ever look at their financial statements?

I do not want to get into a debate about DU and there position on firearms laws. I think they #### the bed and am as disappointed as anyone. But there are DU banquets in small towns all over the prairies every year. And at the ones I have attended, I never seen any of the “token woke class” or “urban sucker bait” you speak of. Just good people that want to go out and have a good time and support the local DU chapter that is usually comprised of good local people.
 
If the Canadian pro gun orgs were partially as effective as DUC is at habitat conservation, we wouldn’t need to pass blame.

Maybe we should sue the government again. That seems to be working out real well. If you’re a lawyer.
 
I was a member and attended banquets and shoots every year. When this government decided to attack all gun owners, and DU was silent , I jumped ship , I told the guy who sells me a ticket every year, I would donate all the money I spend on DU to the legal battle. H
e admitted that this was the first year they had empty seats, at the dinner. Du like to sit on the fence, not for me.. pick your side

I was supporting Spank's post. The demographic has changed for DU. I await the the day when DU will become anti hunting. The writing is already on the wall.

You hunter's realize that you're funding your own demise, considering the Liberal Government plans to close 50 % of the access to Canada's natural resources. Don't listen to me keep believing Drunkman & Boy Blunder that anything that they're doing won't effect Hunters & Sport shooters. Go ahead, you do you.
