I was out shooting/cleaning at my local range tonight and a buddy and I had 2 little deer comming running over the berms to the sound of my shotgun...not very wise deer! Sorry about the poor quality pic, its from an old Blackberry.

Also I don't think I need to say this but we did NOT shoot the deer...and for all the safet nazi's out there my hearing protection is in my ears and my glasses on my hat because I wasn't shooting anymore

I wonder if someone shot the mom deer and they came runing because thats what they heard..

They are named Barbie and Princess apperently. My g/f can't see an animal and NOT give it a name. Barbie is my nick name I earned from the miltary...LONGGG story and Princess is the nick name she has from me because she hates it because she looks like a girly girl but is not:)

So I guess she named them after us? LMAO

When I was in the Rangers, we were shooting at Heels range on the island and had to stop for an early lunch when a deer came out to the range and lay down and proceeded to have a faun. It was neat to see from a distance.

My Brother was out shooting at a range in Alberta when a moose cow and calf walked out in front of ~6 shooters at a range just past the 100 yrd marker. Apparently they all stood there slack jawed looking at each other....

Those two little buggers have been there for a while. Last July when I was doing some load developement with my .308 and sighting in my muzzleloader I had to keep chasing them off the range. I could easily get within 15 yards or so maybe closer. I don't think mommy got shot, hopefully not on purpose anyway, she may have been hit by a car. Anyway, I was worried about them being old enough to fend for themselves last summer, glad to see they made it so far.

Oshawa has a few resident deer that like to play chicken on the long ranges. A few times after taking a shot they would run out. I was so scared to hit one lol I didnt want to get accused of doing it on purpose

A couple years back I was at the AMA outdoor here in Nova Scotia.

We were in the covered firing bay with a full line, people hammering away with pistols, shotguns and an AR when my buddy tapped me on the shoulder and pointed behind me.

I turned to see a furry Range officer watching the action, the plumpest juiciest looking wabbit I ever saw.

So close I could've soccer kicked him over the berm.

never ever repeat that again, certainly not in public. lmfao.

Maybe somebody else is feeding them. They're pretty sharp at sound association. I dropped some sunflower seeds at my backyard golf range one evening this spring. They quickly got to associate the sound of a golf ball being driven with the prospect of a food snack .... and would suddenly appear after a few 'thwacks' hit the air waves.
