Hey,

i have been thinking of creating a new gun case that can handle all my gear including my bullets. I do remember however that with restricted someone once said you cannot have them in the same locked box, is my memory playing games on me?

This is for ontario, we have it to the worst here so i wanna know about here only

Thanks
Douglas

See now you got me second guessing too. Isn't it as long as the gun is trigger locked, the ammo can be stored with it? Cripes...I'm gonna have to look it up now or it's gonna bug me all night...

Edit
Alrighty, here's the wording

...firearm may be store only if it is unloaded and not within easy access to ammunition, unless the ammunition is stored, together with or separately from the firearm, in a securely locked container or receptacle that cannot be easily broken open or into

As long as it's all in a locked box of some kind you're good to go ;) Same for non-restricted and restricted

Restricted in a safe or vault without trigger lock and loaded mag next to it is legal.
Gun case/cabinet - trigger locked and loaded mags next to it legal.

If you're trying to do both, take the most stringent Federal regs you can and build it to that. That seems the most logical step. Someone else probably has the quote right off hand, but I need to get to work. If it isn't posted when I get back I'll look it up and post it for you.
