Dumb Question

Would Someone please explain what a PAL course is.
I'm from Ohio and don't understand a lot of the Terms used here.

PAL..Possession and Acquisition License = A person can have and buy firearms
POL..Possession Only License = You can have but NOT buy firearms

"PAL" = Possession and Acquisition License
Without this license, you are an instant criminal if you so much as hold a firearm.
It is valid for 5 years, after which you pay a fee and answer a bunch of intrusive questions to get it renewed. It is bull$hit in its purest form. And if Obama gets his way, you too will have to jump thru the same hoops we do.

Actually, as long as you are under the immediate supervision of someone who is legally in possession of a firearm you can use a firearm without having a licence.
